A panel of noted travel experts, reporters and the chairman of Tourism Australia compiled the list and there were more than 800 nominations.
Second place went to Lake Ballard, an ancient salt lake 55km west of the small outback town of Menzies, north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.
Third place on the list was swimming with sea lions in Baird Bay on the west coast of SA’s Eyre Peninsula.
The Park is not vastly known but it attracts large number of tourists every year. It has stunning waterfalls, breathtaking beauty and bizarre features.
